Poster It!

Say you want a cool poster on your bedroom wall but you don’t want to go buy one and you don’t have a printer that will print out something the scale of a poster. Thanks to Poster It! you can easily mitigate this situation. The application will take a large image and split it into multiple parts, parts that you can easily print out on a regular printer. Take these printed images, put them together and presto, you have a nice poster.

You won’t have any problems installing Poster It! on your Windows-powered machine. A setup wizard will help you and you will be done in no time at all. Not having to waste a lot of time on getting an application up and running is always a plus in my book.

The image you select for printing will be displayed in the panel to the left on the application’s interface. You can load an image by dragging and dropping it on the interface, by clicking on the left hand panel, or by using the Load Image button from the panel to the right.

And speaking about the panel to the right, it lists the following categories:
About – access the About menu.
Image – load an image, save parts.
Print mode – image size, fit to page, stretch to page, pixel-to-pixel.
Scale – enter a numeric value for the scale.
Settings – show split lines, anti-alis.
More print settings – pick the paper size, the paper orientation, and more.
Preview – preview the images before printing them.
Print – launch the print process.

Poster It! is free for private, non-commercial, single home computer use only. A prompt will tell you this when you launch the application. You can set it so this prompt will not bother you again.
